“Silent all these years”
[en] The fabulous Tori Amos with one of my favourite songs from the album Little Earthquakes. One of the greatest female singer-songwriters of our times, Tori Amos has a discography of twelve great albums.

“Fidelity”
[en] This is a very nice song from the album Bring the hope (2006), the latest work from this Soviet-American singer and pianist. I haven’t heard this album very well yet, but it seems to be a little different from the previous Soviet Kitsch album.
[pt] Esta é uma música bem engraçada do álbum Bring the hope (2006), o último trabalho desta cantora e pianista americana de origem soviética. Ainda não ouvi bem este álbum, mas acho que parece ser um pouco diferente do anterior Soviet Kitsch.
The Killers
“Mr.Brightside”
[en] Their first album Hot Fuss was a very good surprise to everyone and quickly turned The Killers into a big sensation in the pop/rock scene. Although I kind of like the latest album Sam’s Town, it still does not compare to the previous work.
[pt] O seu primeiro álbum Hot Fuss foi uma grande surpresa para toda a gente e fez com que os The Killers rapidamente se tornassem numa sensação da cena pop/rock. Apesar de gostar, mais ou menos, do último álbum Sam’s Town, este não se compara ao anterior trabalho.

“Rough gems”
[en] Another Canadian band that I think we should listen to with interest. Their debut album Return to the sea (2006) is an interesting surprise and seems to promise good things from this band.
[pt] Outra banda canadiana que penso que devemos ouvir com interesse. O seu álbum de estreia Return to the sea é uma surpresa interessante e promete boas coisas desta banda.
The Arcade Fire
“Rebellion (Lies)”
[en] Now that we are near the release (March) of the new album from The Arcade Fire, called Neon Bible, I thought it would be nice to recover a song from their great debut album Funeral. There is a lot of expectation regarding this new album.
[pt] Agora que estamos perto do lançamento (Março) do novo álbum dos The Arcade Fire, chamado Neon Bilble, achei que seria bom recuperar um tema do seu excelente álbum de estreia Funeral. Há grande expectativa em relação a este novo álbum.
The Breeders
“Cannonball”
[en] This is, probably, the best song that The Breeders ever released. Although the band had other great songs, this is the one that would leave a mark and accompany us for ever.
[pt] Este é, provavelmente, o melhor tema que os The Breeders alguma vez lançaram. Apesar da banda ter outros grandes temas, este será o mais marcante e que nos acompanhará para sempre.

[en] One of my favourite bands of the 90’s, this 4AD band formed by singer and guitarist Tanya Donelly still has a place on any of my listening music playlists. I probably have everything they released on cd.
[pt] Uma das minhas bandas favoritas dos anos 90, esta banda da 4AD liderada pela cantora e guitarista Tanya Donelly, ainda tem um lugar em qualquer uma das minhas listas de música para ouvir. Tenho provavelmente tudo que lançaram em cd.
